This project was really fun, so we had to put together three types of variables and make a drawing with them, a latin word, a child's playing card and a card from life, we could use anything about these cards/pictures but we had to blow up the kids playing card. I decided to use a cup, a picture of the city of New Orleans and the latin work Spiro which means storm/ weather. I blew up the cup and the city, I put the city inside the cup and made the background an oceanic storm. I erased back my word in the waves. But I only used charcoal, pencil and a little bit of ink.

Stitched Together
For this project, we had 2 pieces of bristol paper, we had to make one with holes in the one. We had to have something appearing through the hole with the other piece of paper. We could do anything we wanted. I decided to reprint my last doodles off the laser engraver and have that appear through the holes of my art, I didn't put any color or anything on it. I attached the pieces together with yarn, the yarn had spots of red on it so I decided to go along with it. I drew red pieces of stitching and glued them on the front side of my art. I tore 2 corners off and a partial side piece and put the star theme behind that and sewed it on also. With the help of others, I decided to write "I am torn to pieces, barely hanging on by a thread". One word I chose to do is that I sewed a word "thread" with red thread.

Lazer Engraving
Lazer Engraving
For this assignment, we had to first, make a couple doodles on a paper, take a picture and put in an app on the school computers. We then edited them and made it they way we wanted, we used this tag board paper and laser-engraved the item on the tagboard. We then used Gwash paint and painted it how we wanted, Gwash pain is like a normal paint but you can reconstitute it with water. I painted over the whole thing then used white to go over the engraved parts of the artwork to kinda give it more of a star/space look.
I really liked this assignment as well as the micro-drawing because I loved using the laser engraver and the paint. the paint really worked with the paper and I like how it works.
Micro Drawing
Micro Drawing
For this assignment, we had to do a micro drawing of cells and other things under a microscope. We had to do use a compositional model for the theme of the art. We used watercolor pencils which is just watercolor paint in a pencil. I labeled most of the microorganisms on the back of the paper, some didn't say what they were. I used sumi ink to make the circles look like they're floating down the blood vein I made as the background.
I really liked this assignment, the paper was excellent and I loved the pencils and how they worked with the paper.

Object drawing
My object drawing
My object drawing was fun, creative and a little funky. I feel that it has depth and many different values to it. In my in-progress post, it only had 3 cones, not so much color or black. I made the smaller colorful cones out of pastels and glued them on. I added more ink and some charcoal to make the original cones pop out more for say.
I really liked this assignment, it allowed me to open my mind up from the last class and explore more into the free art world where anything is possible.

My in-progress
My in-progress
This is my in-progress art, I'm about half way done with the art. We used out favorite different marks of work and combined them into a giant piece of work with our favorite practice art. I'm having a lot of fun with this because there's no right or wrong here, it's whatever.

Favorite exercise drawing
Favorite exercise drawing
This drawing is my favorite because it has a unique looking texture and cool look to it. It just looks real but yet like a cartoon version to me because of the values in it.
This assignment was a timed. It was called "Being Quick". Each drawing you had shorter and shorter time to draw your object. This was a 5-minute drawing and you had to work your way down to 10 seconds.
